Sunday Scribblings: My First Act

My first act as Queen of the World is to cut off anyone's head who did not know the three important crossroads of my life:

1. When I decided to run away from home: 13
2. When I succeeded in running away from home: 27
3. When I was diagnosed with Wegener's Granulomatosis: 41

Who am I kidding? I will never be the Queen of the World even though I come from a gene pool that did subjugate a third of the worlds population (oh, a few hundred years ago). I can count among my distant cousins and grandparents--advocates, reigning monarchs, senators, and presidents. But I am not bragging here.. Or trying not to...

Since I could think (about five years old), I have had two driving ambitions: 1) to travel the world and 2) become famous. At this time, I have traveled the world. I still have that urge to see new places and customs.

But, the famous part has been a little more sticky. So what can I do to get famous? Should I become notorious like a few of those cult leaders? (Manson even)? Should I discover something (someone or someplace) that no one else has found? Really, I am a little late for new land discovery. Or maybe create something?

Well, I have decided to create something. I started out with poetry. I have written a few short stories and am now turning towards novels.

Will I be famous? I don't know, but I hope to have fun trying.

Nice post - I'm guessing that having fun is the most important part of living and it seems the most famous don't have much real fun. At least that's my take. Grin. I always enjoy your writing!

Thanks tumblewords...

I noticed that those people (like Brittany) just do not have the fun that they should because they became famous too soon.

They didn't learn that having fun is a 'state of mind' ... Yep, ya gotta want it. ;-)
