Don't walk around blind.
My mother has needed eyeglasses most of her life. When she wants to look good, she leaves off the glasses and uses Dad as an escort. She puts her arm in his. My Dad has told many humorous stories about mother squinting at someone greeting her. She is not quick to answer the greeting. And then, she has lost a friend for life.
I have to admit that I decided to not be like my mother. I have worn glasses until I had surgery. I was so blind that I couldn't see my glasses on the bedstand. Each morning I would go through the routine of bang bang bang until I found the glasses. Sometimes my husband would have to look with me.
I move a lot in my sleep. I would knock the glasses off my bedstand. There were times that I would be on my hands and knees feeling for them. So now you know--GLASSES are not optional.
This website $ 8 Zenni Optical Rx Eyeglasses have really inexpensive glasses. My husband and I went to get some glasses for him. He needed some really sturdy glasses because he works in a very physical job. Just last week he was pulling cable from the antennas to the roof to his radio room.
Anyway, the glasses cost us a very big chunk of change. So if you don't have the money, go to this website. They make the frames. And, they don't spend their money on much advertising. Mostly word of mouth.
If you need glasses, you need to check them out.
